I have just been given the perfect garter belt for a vintage or rustic wedding! It's super cute made out of antique white lace and even has a cute lace bow, the bow is tied together with a blue cloth and a vintage daisy button! It's unbelievably stretchy for being made out of lace, perfect to fit over anyone's knee... and for tossing later in the evening!
Rachel from Something Sweet Wedding Boutique in Fort Wayne was telling me all about how she hand makes custom garter belts for anyone. She offers a "buffet" of options and lets brides custom select their pieces and she creates it for them within a matter of a few hours! She has never made the same garter twice, unless of course she's making two- one for throwing and one for keeping! Her favorite is when she creates sports team themed garter belts- sometimes she has to special order that stuff in, but it's worth it to see how happy it makes the couple!
