The Art of the Bachelorette Party

Movies make bachelorette parties look like drunken, penis filled fests that you won't remember and will make your head throb in the morning. So what is a girl to do on her last (or close to last) night as a single lady that doesn't involve throwing up on a bush or getting a lap dance? Here are a few ideas:

1) Gather your girls together for an old fashioned slumber party! Do each other's hair, wear your PJs, eat pizza, drink mimosas and watch Magic Mike 2 (hey, I never said alcohol and strippers couldn't be involved at all... 😉 )

2) Take a class together: cooking, cake decorating, painting, even pole dancing classes are available!

3) Take a road trip weekend. Gather your three best girls (or however many you can fit in your car), a cooler full of Pepsi, and a map. Pick a direction and drive until you find something interesting. Play fun car games like I spy, never have I ever, or the alphabet game! Just make sure you leave yourself enough time to make it home!

4) Have a party where everyone has to dress up as the sexiest character from any movie or TV show, see who comes as the most outrageous!

5) Create a wedding themed scavenger hunt and walk downtown until you find everything! Some suggestions: your wedding colors, a business with one of the couple's names, an old married couple, etc.

6) Take a day away at a spa, relax with a mud bath and at the sauna, get massages! Weddings are stressful so having a day to relax is a great way to spend the last day before the craziness of the wedding day! Just avoid any makeovers that you can't wash off that night!

7) If you're a bunch of girls who enjoy spending time in the woods, go camping! It can still be fun even if it's just one night! But maybe do this the weekend before the wedding, sleeping in a sleeping bag can make you sore and that's not something you want to deal with at the wedding.

8.

Have a henna party! Have a professional apply beautiful henna designs to your hands, arms, and feet. If you want to get wild have them do apply it to your back, shoulders, and neck. If this isn't something the bride will want in her wedding photos, though, make sure you do this far enough in advance to allow it to wear off (it takes a couple of weeks!)
