Something New

We've all heard, and memorized, the traditional wedding superstition: Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue. It's hard sometimes to be both original and meaningful with your items, especially something new. Almost all of your items are new, right? Your dress, shoes, flowers, all are probably new. But here are some other ideas to bring meaning to your "something new." P.S. you can find ideas for Something Old here!

1. Did you buy or rent a new home right before getting married? Try incorporating the keys by tieing it around your neck, tucking into your bouquet or dress, or even in your shoe, as long as it doesn't poke you.

2. Ask someone special (your father, grandparents, sister/brother, or Godparents for example) to pick out your jewelry for your something new.

3. Pretty bridal lingerie

4. A new Bible or other meaningful religious token (examples: rosary, catechism, cross, communion wafer, etc.)

5. Your new veil

6. "I always wore glasses but didn't want to for my wedding, so my something new was a new pair of contacts! Everyone was so surprised!" -Willow
