What to Expect When Hiring Sweet Memories Photography for Your Wedding

Finding a wedding photographer can be tough. You're putting the memories of your day in someone else's hands! That's stressful. Plus, you don't know what a good price is, why are some photographers so expensive when others aren't? What even is a "good" photographer? Ahh! This is hard!

Well, here's your first step. Go find my previous blog post about how to find your wedding photographer. Then come back and read this one so you can tell what it's like to hire me!

1) Two (or three!) Photographers.

There's a lot going on on your wedding day, sometimes one photographer can be so locked in on whatever they're capturing that they don't see something else fun happening behind them! Concentration is not a bad thing, so having a second photographer to capture those moments that otherwise would have been missed. For larger weddings a third photographer might be added if it's agreed she's needed!

2) Four week guarantee.

Four weeks is all the time you'll have to wait to get your pictures back! Plus a number of sneak peaks posted throughout that time on social media so you can share and update your profile picture! And speaking of sneak peaks...

3) Sneak peaks within 24 hours.

Usually that night! Depending on time and distance traveled sneak peaks can be available on Facebook and blog posts that night or the next morning! So you can change your profile picture before you even change your name!

4) Payment plans that are right for you.

We realize you probably don't have your entire photography budget just sitting around in your bank account waiting for you to cut the check. Pay what you can, when you can! There's no rush as long as it's before the wedding.

5) Natural Editing.

We want you to look like the best you on your wedding day. The best you is still YOU. Don't expect freckles or tattoos to be covered in editing, your eye color will remain the same. However the stress pimple on your forehead... We got that for you! The pictures we edit end up light and airy while still looking natural and the way the day actually happened!

6) Constant communication is encouraged.

You have to build a friendship trust with your photographer. Your photographer needs to know you well enough to know your tastes and you need to know your photographer well enough to comfortably act natural around them. This comes by forming a friendly acquaintanceship. Text, call, email, or message me with any concerns, ideas, questions, thoughts, or plans for your wedding- whether photography related or not!
