SC Eventhouse: A Vendor Showcase

The first time I met Casie I knew I liked her, even before I had seen her work. Not only does she have this quiet humor that never gets old or annoying, but she also exudes excellence in her field, earning your immediate trust.

SC Eventhouse offers a seemingly endless inventory of linens and other decorative items available for rental that she effortlessly styles to fit your exact dreams! She also offers some of the most beautiful silk or live flower arrangements that I have ever seen! In the countless times we've worked together now, she has never disappointed!

I asked her one day what the SC stood for and she responded "I’m the C of SC and the S is my husband Scott."

My favorite decorating friend let me interview her and I was fascinated by some of her answers:


What made you start your business?

In 2001, I married the man of my dreams who patiently let me indulge in every whim of our wedding planning process. It was my first exposure to the wedding world and I loved (almost) every minute of it. Since then I’ve studied the art of design, shadowed, and interned to learn the ins and outs of planning and designing successful events. In 2009 I felt ready to take the plunge and opened SC EventHouse offering 3 main services:
• Exquisite event design, styling and decorating services
• Affordable rentals for the DIY – design it yourself
• High quality bouquet creation


What’s your favorite color scheme the you’ve worked on before?

I have fun with all the color schemes presented to me but if I HAD to choose, I would pick a soft color palette of blush, ivory, and gold. This timeless look will always have a special place in my heart.


What was or is your least favorite wedding styling trend?

When it comes to wedding tends there isn’t one I can necessarily pinpoint as disliking. But I will say that when it comes to trends and your wedding, use them to help complement your look but don’t let them overshadow who you are as a couple! Don’t get lost in a sea of Pinterest ideas! A good designer can help you build a personalized space around your interests and likes.


Why do you think decorations are such an important part of a wedding or event?

It’s the atmosphere the décor creates. When guests arrive, the setting of the space is their first impression of what a magical night your wedding will be. Having a warm and inviting feeling in the room creates an allurement for celebration.  If you don’t know where to start or are working with a limited budget, invest your time (and money) in the basics – beautiful linens and chairs are a great starting point to ensure you have an inviting space.
